I think this is a reasonably priced piece of equipment especially in comparison to the 8mb ps2 card that sony offered. Microsoft have got the design spot on and if you have a premium it goes nicely with the crome cd/dvd drive.
It has it's own carry case which can be easily clipped onto a keyring. Which is handy when you want to transfer 'small' files between 360s
The reason most people buy these initially is to get on xbox live. They can be used to save profiles
One disadvantage, they arent big enough to hold any Demo's from XBOX Marketplace
But 4/5 is my score because it does exactly what is says :D
Buy it if your waiting for HDs to come back into stock
Hope this helped

"Handy For Backup Purposes, But Restricted And Too Small" - 1 January 2008
The sole purpose of me buying these Memory Unit's is one word, "Backup". I always backup my saved data because if my consoles die or go out with a bang, I always have something small around me which has the backup data, and it helps me get back into business rather than starting from scratch!
This Memory Unit is for the XBox 360 Console, it's 64MB and it can store any type of data you acquire for backup. Because of it's size though, you are quite limited to what you want to backup as certain retail games have saved data from about 1MB or even more. BioShock alone requires 15MB per saved game. The Orange Box is another game, which requires big data space, 10MB per saved game!
Because of this reason I use the unit for games which are finished and have saved data which needs to be stored on a Memory Unit, as if for example I get the "3 Rings Of Death", my data is safe from all that bad hassle (I'm not looking forward to getting that Ring Of Death). I've also discovered another little ordeal as well. If you own XBox Live on your console and you store backup data on the memory unit, you may not be able to transfer that data onto another console with another player who owns XBox Live. I tried giving my brother my Sonic The Hedgehog 1 data from my XBox 360 to his XBox 360 using the Memory Unit, but the console refused to perform that action!
My Grade For The Device: 7/10: On The Ball, Down-But Not Out, OK
My Wish: I wish the unit were bigger in size and the ability to transfer data from one console to another!
Final Comments: Overall, if you own a few Retail or Arcade Games on the XBox 360 and require a small device for backup purposes, then look no further than this Memory Unit. If you need something bigger though, then I think you need to find another device or get 2 or more of these!

"What it does" - 25 August 2007
The memory unit stores your gamesaves and ALSO stores your gamer profile. This means you can take it with you to a friend's house. So if you travel a bit or even just play on someone else's console, it's really quick & easy to take your xbox live account with you. It's quick to install. PS - If you're struggling to work out how to transfer your account from the 360 to the memory unit, in the dashboard, go to System, then Memory, then choose Hard drive (if you have one). Click on the profile and the 360 will ask you if you want to move it!

"Great For Core" - 4 January 2006
This is a great innovation for the Xbox 360 Core System as iy allows users to save games and to download small files off xbox live marketplace(provided you have xbox live). The product also comes with a handy carry case which is suitable fo transporting to your friends house or elsewhere. This is a cheap alternative to the xbox 360 hard drive. I own on myself and I have 8 games and 4 gamer accounts and i still have 30mb free space. It has 13mb of system information and software on it so don't be surprised to see that it only contains 51Mb when you first recieve it. Overall an amazing product.

"Pricing is ridiculous" - 21 January 2007
I don't see how they can get away charging such an amount for only 64MB of memory (only 51MB of which is usable)!
The price is ridiculous, considering for £5 cheaper you can buy a 2GB flash drive. It's just a case of licensing pointlessly pushing the price up so Microsoft can wring more money out of consumers.

"worth £17.99" - 17 January 2007
I was forced to buy one of these recently, and so would recommend that all premium console owners buy one.
Basically my xbox hard drive developed a fault, and i was unable to use the console unless the hard drive was detached,so xbox support are sending me a replacement hard drive, but i lost all my save games,so while i wait i had to buy one of these, and i'm going to back up any important game saves on this in the future,as if it happens again with the hard drive,i'll lose all my careers AGAIN.
Do not hesitate,as i have many friends with xboxs' that have also developed faults

"Good but overpriced" - 29 September 2006
The Hard Drive has so many more advantages i would recommed the HDD over the memory card if u dont have any storage on your XBOX360. Handy for people who play games and different houses alot but otherwise not realy needed. If it was £10 then i think it would be more worth the money

"Not just a cheap alternative" - 20 March 2006
If you have a Premium edition Xbox 360 then it is also worthwhile buying one of these. Should your 360 develop a fault you will need to send it back to Microsoft to be replaced. Unfortunately they also ask that you send your hard disk too. Understandably, this is a bit annoying if you've played lots of games and made good progress through most of them, so it is worth backing your profile up from time to time! Besides, the memory card uses solid-state memory so its less prone to failure than a hard disk.Rumour has it that the 360's hard disk is encoded to your console serial number once its installed. If this is true, owners of core editions who've bought the hard disk separate should take heed too. Its a bit of a fatalist view I admit, but three of my friends and I have all had problems with our consoles. Early versions are often bugged though.

"Enough for Core System!" - 19 January 2006
If you have just bought the Core system and are looking for a cheap alternative to the HD, just without all the space, this is for you. Easily enough for a few XBL names and loads of Offline Games! Sam
