4 out of 5  "Very swish" - 18 May 2008
Great looks, great functionality and quite robust. As a controller thrower, this thing has been airborne many a time and the only damage is a slightly loose left stick which still works perfectly.
The only criticisms I have are a rubbish D-Pad and if you like to have a finger on all shoulder buttons you may find it difficult to hold.
The right stick position is also a little strange but it becomes second nature quickly.
A good size for small and big hands I think this is one of the best controllers made.
And everything looks better in black!

5 out of 5  "It is what it is" - 8 April 2008
It's the xbox 360 controller, you pretty much know what it's like, great design, extremely comfortable and for the same price as the white one, the black one is the better choice!

Once you go black, you'll never go back ;)

5 out of 5  "Looks and handles great" - 5 January 2008
I got this handset with my Elite xbox360. Its very comfortable as is the standard white one but looks much sleeker in my opinion. I can't imagine it will show up the kids sticky finger prints as much as the other anyway. I find it so much easier having it wireless as well. I'm getting another and getting rid of the old wired ones as I have much more space now.

2 out of 5  "Cheap Plastic - Bad quality" - 10 March 2008
Please take a second to give a good review. I purchased the Elite 360 package and day 1 started the game and within 10 minutes, the right joystick started to lock! the trigger was making creaky noise and the console tray where you put the DVD is another piece of cheap plastic. looks like all's made and shipped from china or something..

no doubt the console itself is amazing - and the games are superb - but the quality of the product is very very bad! i have the original xbox and the controllers over there are perfectly solid!!! Just because it's XBOX, it doesnt mean that all's rose & wine! - very dissapointed for the money i paid!

5 out of 5  "A must!" - 24 September 2008
It's quite simple really :). In terms of technology now it's all about being wireless. So if you are looking to buy a new controller, for the extra dosh it is definitely worth buying this one and not the wired one.

No cables, no mess, no fuss. Plus the black looks much cooler than the white.

1 out of 5  "Rot" - 7 May 2008
This is the reason why i can't buy an xbox 360 - its clunky, heavy, old fashioned and generally useless. The wiimote and sixaxis bring much more to the market and are much more comfortable with no silly battery pack on the back.
